This seems to be the shortest unit of the entire course. It was a wrap up of potential problems that may surface, and reiterating some previously mentioned obstacles in the language learning process. I learned that in a first lesson there should not be an actual lesson, but an opportunity to create the best lasting impression on the class. I learned that the introduction and warmers on a first lesson are an important way to create a good rapport and also learn more about the individual, and group, english level. I liked that there were tips provided on how to address reluctant students. I think that especially with younger students this is inevitable, however adult or young adult students are not excluded from this. In the end the aim of a teacher of english as a second language is to facilitate the learning of english and encourage students to learn to use the language without insecurities. I think that with the help of this course, not only have I learned so much significant and essential material about the english language, but also very important ways to deliver and facilitate the learning process as effectively and successfully as possible.
