This unit started by presenting four main ideas when learning a language. The receptive skills, which this unit covered, include reading and listening. The productive skills not covered in this unit include speaking and writing. It is important for students to understand that they are capable of understanding a text without knowing every single word in it. The stories and activities provided by the teacher need to be one's of interest for the students. Since everyone is different and has different interests a variety of topics will have to be presented. When the topic is hard to make fun, a teachers enthusiasm and attitude will really help the students stay determined and focused.
