This unit is divided into two sections. The first covers the teacher. What makes a good teacher and what are the various roles of that teacher. The unit explains how each teacher must incorporate some of all these various roles (such as manager, organizer, assessor, etc) into everyday classroom use. The second part discusses a good learner. It covers the age range, language levels, and motivations. It discusses how these variables will let the teacher know how to proceed in the classroom. The age of the student, coupled with their cultural influences, will establish a framework. Where as the level of previous knowledge will dictate the actual material and overall classroom goals.
