This unit introduced the two productive skills, writing and speaking, and how to teach them. It highlighted the fact writing is usually the most neglected skill; something I have often noticed myself. It discussed the differences between accuracy and fluency, their importance in each phase of the lesson, as well as different activities that focus on each. It went on to give examples of incorporating speaking and writing activities into a lesson, as well as a list of games that can be used. The list however is quite small, and I would like to have seen some examples of how the games can be used to teach a particular point, or how they can be changed to meet the teacher?s needs.
