Overall for the content of this unit I found items such a gerunds a new type of grammar because I do not remember being taught that. It must be a second nature to me because I grew up learning and speaking English! I never thought that -ing would be called a gerund. Each of the sections from nouns, to verbs and pronouns shocked me because I really was ignorant to what each part of speech meant because I've taken advantage of growing up speaking English. I enjoyed the aspects of this unit as it \"dumbed\" down a lot of the basic parts of speech so it could be analysed and help us (future teachers) understand how to teach it for kids (primary users of basic English) could understand.
