The focus in this lesson is to look at the two types of materials that are available out there. One being authentic material and the other being created. Both have their pros and cons. For authentic material, we can find existing content but this can be challenging and not catered specifically to all the student's interests or goals. However, this material can be more interesting and motivating if the students have the ability and are keen to discuss something different. With created material, we can customize the lesson around the needs and desires of the students. This can be more beneficial but at the same time can be dull as the students begin to learn the style of the teacher.
