This unit focused on the relationship between teachers and learners and detailed the roles they each play. Characteristics of successful teachers and learners were highlighted. The difference between young learners and adults was covered as well as different cultural approaches to learning. Distinctions between levels of English speaking ability were labeled and defined. The unit concluded with common reasons students may attend English classes and the importance of motivation to success. I learned the Common European Framework has recently been established and distinguishes language speaking ability according to newly defined levels. The rest of the material was good review for me.
