In this unit, modals, phrasal verbs and the passive voice are discussed which are more advanced topics for English language learners, but play an important part in fluency, and comprehending native English speakers. For example, phrasal verbs are quite commonly used, and can express certain nuances that may be relevant to the meaning of the statement. For example, if it includes an exaggeration, the meaning could be understood incorrectly, and cause comprehension problems down the road and misunderstandings. In the English classroom it is okay for a teacher to use phrasal verbs, but I think it is also important for the teacher to clarify the meaning so the students fully understand.
