I have learnt theories, methods and techniques of ESL teaching. There are Grammar-translation, Audio-lingualism, this is a learning methodology based upon behaviorist theories of learning; the PPP (Presentation, Practice and Production), Task-Based Learning, Communicative Language Teaching, Community Language Learning, The silent way, Suggestopaedia, The Lexical approach and last but not least, the ESA (Engage, Study and Activate). THe ESA approach allows the teacher a great deal of flexibility in the classroom. ESA is particularly appropriate for trainee and new teachers. This is therefore the methodology this course is based around, all submitted materials must follow this method.
