This unit was a good introduction to the parts of speech which is how words in sentences are classified and used. It was strange learning how to classify words that are so commonly used and learning the specific rules and uses. For example, distinguishing between possessive pronouns and possessive adjectives can be challenging at times because it is based off the context in how they are used. Also, there are many exceptions to rules given that make you rely on brute memorization to nail down. One example that comes to mind are the different forms of irregular verbs compared to the regular verbs. However, practice and repetition should make it easier for students to learn these rules
