? Unit 19 review ? Almost done! Woo talk about a new beginning~ Unit 19 focuses on a few different areas but all in the same category... How to Teach X,Y,Z. ? A class full of students with different levels ? Having to teach business language (usually just formal English and their work terminology) ? Teaching an individual student ? Teaching children or beginners ? And the list can go on. But for now lets move on, unit 19 gets you to try and be familiar with the different levels of students who want to learn English. Such as the 'Adult Beginner' or the 'Young Beginner', they say that children often pick up on English a bit faster then the adult. ? Next is teaching 1-on-1, this can be a bit more challanging as they don't have a group of kids/friends to use the language with or do group activiteswith. But it does have the advantage that the teacher will get to focus on one student. ? Another section is; teaching children. Children (as we already know) have a short attenrion span and get board easily. Advice that was given was 'keep is short and varied, plus exciting and fun'. ? Business English includes lots of formal English along with certain areas like giving presentations, intoductions, debates, ect. Some hardships a teacher might come across, since they are business people they will usually be tired at the end of the day, and sometimes you might have to change your lesson plans to suit their time and engergy. ? Near the end it talks about testing the students, at the beginning, the middle of the course and at the end. The reason being we are seeing if they (the students) are retianing the information that was taught.
