The final unit summarizes various points that have been talked about in previous units, what teachers must keep in mind when they are teaching English to students who are not native English speakers. From the information presented in previous units and from my personal experience a new group class is where students don't know each other but after several weeks of working with each other and witnessing how a teacher lectures and provides activities, the students become acquainted with each other and help each other. I have had the practice of always starting with new groups but eventually, the students realized they had more in common than before, and helped one another. Textbooks activities should be a last resort, but the activities that are given by the teacher should help establish relationships with each other and the teacher as well. I always tried to make sure that the tasks from the activities could be completed by the students, and I always paired stronger students with the weaker ones. Warmers or warmers are excellent activities because they are short and help the students prepare for the material they are getting ready to learn. I have given classes at 7:30 a.m. and at 5:00 p.m. and by those hours students were tired. I never jumped into an activity from the Study stage which focuses on fluency, because that would not motivate the students. I provided warm-ups to get students into the mood to learn. I have not had the practice of teaching more than 20 students at a time, therefore the information presented in this unit is helpful because now I realize how to work around large classes. Not every student will have the same level and some students may be reluctant to learn or become bored if tasks can be easily completed.
