This unit was the most important unit for me. This was important because you use it every day while speaking to other people. It is good to know how you say some words, especially when you have to teach others. The phonetic script was new for me. It was funny to use it.Throughout my life I have developed many bad habits where written and spoken English are concerned and this unit made me think about how much of my native language I have taken for granted. I hope I do not pass on these bad habits when in the role of a teacher or tutor.Authentic/non-authentic terms could use more definition or examples. Re read the passage a couple of times and still uncertain what is being conveyed. Overall, nice examples of the concept are given (but Elvis!? Someone more recent or current may be of more interest!)
