In this unit, we learn about teaching aids and equipment. Depending on the facility or classroom, a teacher could have many resources available for their use in class. Resources like Overhead Projectors, Interactive Whiteboards, Video cameras, or even just the common black or whiteboard. It is important to know how to utilize each. As blackboards become less common, the use of whiteboards, and how to best write out lessons, becomes more necessary. Usage of space, as well as usage of colors can make the difference between an easy to follow lesson, or a confusing one. Overhead projectors are useful tools for lessons that you want to only prepare once and then reuse at a later date, with usage of slides. Interactive Whiteboards are for the more advanced and technical teachers, and it is important that the teacher be trained, or at least know how to use it prior to class time.
