Extremely useful unit! not only because it gave an insight into modern language teaching techniques, but it also contained a number of fun activities that can be applied in my classes. I?ve learnt about different approaches to teaching, from the obsolete and I guess the one i? was taught back in the days, to the widely used. i?ve learnt about ESA, that stands for Engage, Study and Activate approach. Special attention was given to mistakes correction. It was vital for me to learn that they not always should be corrected on the spot, sometimes not corrected at all especially when we are on the Engage stage. Don?t be too pushy! let the students find their own road to language, give them more freedom in exploring the language and helping each other to learn.
