Basic modal auxiliary verbs include can, could, might, may, shall, should, will, would, must, have to, have got to, need to, needn't, and ought to. They all have their own uses and how it could be used in present or past tense. Passive voice are used when the unknown agent is not known, not important, don't want to say the exact person who performs the action, changing focus, or concealing the agent. Relative clauses contains a subject and a verb. Phrasal verbs are a multi word verbs use in verb play one or two particles. It is interesting to learn about this unit in English grammar. I never knew that it is broken down into modal auxiliary, relative, phrasal, or passive voice. Teacher needs to be aware of all these usages in order to teach the students. I feel it is important for the teacher to know this knowledge other that all the four tenses that are usually been highlighted.
