Unit 20 deals with common problems that may arise and tips and solutions for said issues. It covers First lessons and how it is important to establish rapport, find out the English level of each class member and find out students needs and aspirations. we also learn about teaching large classes and how worksheets, pair/group work, using group leaders and choral repetition can be useful in large class settings. We also see how to deal with students using their native language in the class room and how making sure activities are at the appropriate level and that our explanations are clear to all class members can be useful. We also learn about how to deal with reluctant students and difficulties with listening text. I think this is one of the most useful sections because knowing how to face issues when they arise can be extrealy useful for our confidence as teachers in the classroom.
