The present connects the past and the future together. We can speak about past event and about a possible future all in the present. The tenses that we've seen are all about the present but all have a different aspect. Such as the present simple: which is something that is happening now. The present perfect: which is something that relates the past and presents together. The Present Continuous: which is an action made in the present but the action transcends the time. The Present perfect continuous: well this one relate the past and present together but it implies that it is likely to continue in the future or in progress for some time or both! I've been using these form every day of my life but never really gave a thought of where they sit in the timeline or how could I explain it to somebody. With the knowledge from the previous units, I feel comfortable to teach a someone about these tenses!
