The content of this unit was based around the different roles that a teacher has, and the importance and essence of being a good teacher. It also explained the major differences between young learners and adult learners and how their differences will need to be taken into consideration when planning and acting out their lessons. It described the different motivations for why students want to learn English and the different levels of student that you will encounter. The unit was very informative and I learnt a lot about different levels of students and how best to teach them, that I didn't previously know, for example: young learners, who have notoriously short attention spans, will require games and songs and simple instructions to best aid their learning, whereas adult learners will benefit more from a professional and more serious toned classroom environment that is still entertaining and engaging.
