In this unit, the focus was on having an overview of the conditionals in the English grammar. Basically there are five main conditional types in English starting with zero conditional until you reach up the last type called mixed conditional. Each one of these five main conditionals has its own nature and its own usage. It all depends on whether it?s a fact or hypothetical, real on unreal and the timing of the speech. Furthermore, I?ve been equipped with some teaching ideas of how to let student fully understand and absorb conditionals based on some useful activities, despite some common mistakes that student might fall in during their speeches. Last point here i would like to draw out based on my opinion, and equally important is the direct and the reported speech, and how you reporting someone?s speech noticing the tense of the speech and the words that had been used by the speaker.
