In first lesson, it is important for the teachers to build rapport, know the students, and know their English level by doing surveys or ?tell me about yourself? speech. It is also important to use of ice breakers to start the class especially when the class starts little slow. Sometimes there are different levels of students in class. Teachers may use different materials or use same materials different task with teaching aids. Let the students know each other by themselves or initiate pairing. Reluctant students don not seems to participate during class. It is advice to be patient and do some activities like pairing them with other students and have role plays, or listen to tape recorders. Large class is a bit challenge for a teacher. Grouping and/or pairing is best for activity based lessons.
