Teach English in TiAnwen Zhen - Qiannan Buyizu Miaozu Zizhizhou
This unit focuses on understanding the use of ESA methodology in planning lessons on vocabulary, grammar structures and language functions. A single study session may include elements of all, but more frequently each lesson would be entirely dedicated to one of those areas. The most popular approach shows the use of \"straight arrow\" lesson structure serving the vocabulary and grammar themed lessons, while language functions benefit from a \"boomerang\" structure. There is a certain amount of flexibility in this approach though, and \"patchwork\" lessons can be used just as effectively, if well planned. One of the key points of this chapter is the advice to forget a rigid approach of reusing the same structure for all occasions, and anticipate the needs, level and ability of our students to find an ESA model best for each situation, and to fill it with content that would truly benefit our students.
