Speaking and writing are productive skills. Accuracy activities which are usually part of the study phase are focused on producing correct language. Fluency activities which are usually part of the activate phase are focused on be creative with language. Accuracy and fluency are equally important to learn English. We can divide speaking activities in the class into three groups. These are controlled activities, guided activities and creative communication. As a teacher, we need to encourage students to speak by using some methods such as pair-work, group-work, plenty of controlled and guided practice before fluency activities. As for writing skills, teacher should encourage the students to improve handwriting, spelling, layout and punctuation and creative writing. Teacher follow the ESA phases while teaching speaking and writing to the students. Also, games plays an important role for teaching English.
