This unit is about all aspects of managing a class; the personal tools of a teacher, the effects of the different grouping of your students, the effects of the several lay-outs of table formations, the usage of the board, how to give instructions and how to prevent and deal with problem behaviour. I always thought that classroom management was almost only about how to deal with problem behaviour in case it would arise and never had thought that all the above mentioned aspects could have such an influence on how your class might behave. Having it read I understand much better how every chosen detail of the class plays it significant role in the teacher's ability to manage the class effectively. And it has given me good information on how I can better my classes with giving more thought about my positioning, body language, my chosen lay-out of the classroom and making my instructions simpler and clearer.
