In this lesson we looked at utilizing songs, games, stories, arts and crafts, seasons, and etc. as options for our lesson plans with young learners. The focus of these activities revolves around listening, speaking, reading, and writing. If we want to emphasize more on reading and writing, we could use story telling to liven up our class where if we want to work on listening, we could use any variety of these activities such as listening to music, telling a story, or playing a game to help drive this. When it comes to playing games, we can take advantage of the mainstream games out there and creatively change them to our needs such as with monopoly, where we don't need money but rather ask a question and if right, they can get a house on the property. We also need to be considerate of the age group we are working with as some of these activities are designed for younger learners and not the older aged kids.
