This unit is about the importance of planning a lesson specially for inexperienced teachers to be able to carry out the lesson with flexibility and focus on the objectives to be attained. It presentes the important functions of lesson planning and how to start writing down your own lesson plan. Starting from very simple tips such as making sure the board is clean before the students come into class; being ready to talk to the students before the lesson starts; checking that the equipment required for the lesson is working fine, etc., moving to what should be included in a lesson plan and finishing with a sample lesson plan form (which is really handy). I always get a bit nervous when I see there's a review of the ESA structure because I always feel like I'm not quite mastering the theory behind it yet. But it is also a great way of getting to be more comfortable with it. The video class is of great help.
