The content of Unit 4 demonstrates the four aspects of the present tense (present simple, present continuous, present perfect and present perfect continuous). This unit also demonstrates the forms and usages of each aspect, as well as typical errors students form when practicing and general ideas that can be implemented during the activate stage of a lesson. In my opinion, the two aspects of the present tense that could possibly cause confusion towards the students could be the present perfect and the present perfect continuous, simply because these aspects relate past activities to the present. However, after reviewing this unit, I now have a better understanding of how an educator can teach the differences. The first aspect talks about completed actions that occurred with indefinite time periods and present results, while the second aspect implies actions that have been in progress and are likely to continue.
