Successfully managing a classroom can come down to how you use your body to teach, the way the students are seated and/or grouped, the way instructions are given, and how behavior problems are dealt with. When teaching we must use good eye contact, have a clear and loud voice, and use gestures. Also, calling students by name helps to get everyone involved and build classroom rapport. Instructions should be given in a simple and concise way with visual aids; don't use difficult language to try and get the students on board with understanding what you want them to do in class. You can have the students be seated in rows, circles, or at tables in a way that is helpful for doing a whole class, individual, or pair activities. And, make sure you are fair when dealing with behavior problems. Always be consistent with the rules. By using these methods it is possible to create a good learning environment in the classroom.
