This unit discusses lesson planning and applies ESA principles to planning the lesson. It discusses why lesson planning is important in regards to record keeping, planning aid, and a working document. It addresses how to layout and organize a lesson, and what should be included. One main overall point is that lesson plans should be flexible as to allow the teacher to adjust to the students needs and interests. The unit also provides example lesson plans and a blank sheet that I could print out and use myself. In the lesson plan it includes additional forms that allow the teacher to write down how the lesson went and what needs to be fixed for the future. Not only that, it provides sample worksheets and handouts for a sample lesson, covering all of the ESA steps for a present simple tense lesson. This was especially helpful, as I might want to use them if I teach at an international or public school in the future.
