This lesson unit provides the groundwork of what encompasses a teacher and student in the learning environment. The main qualities of a good teacher are varied and encompass their relationship with students as well as self-motivation and competence. A good teacher would possess certain qualities that allow them to nurture and recognize their students strengths and weaknesses. The unit discusses the different kinds of students and their levels of learning from Beginner to Advanced. The unit also discusses the different roles of a teacher within the learning environment. I think that it is important to reflect on the roles of the teacher and how important it plays in teaching students in different levels. For example students in the advanced stage would need more prompting and facilitating and beginners might need an overall balance of all roles in order to provide the basic and essential language learning instruction.
