I was given two contrasting examples of how the English class can be carried on. This was quite useful as I could see the errors and mistakes that teachers can do and think how to avoid them, while having kind of a benchmark class to learn from. The first video addressed many issues: how not to welcome students, how not to smile, how not be interested and enthusiastic, how not to build rapport, how to be intimidating, how not to demonstrate the tasks, how to use the concepts that are not understood by the students without explaining, how not to praise, how to correct mustakes on the spot in the rude manner so to confuse everybody, how dull it is when the students are not provided with any kind of visual aids. I would normally leave such a class and never come back if I were a student there. While the second class provided a good use of miming and gestures and eye contact, eliciting the language from students and reducing TTT.
