Unit 3 encompassed 10 methodologies. Audio-lingualism; Presentation,Practice and Production; Suggestopaedia, and Task-Based Learning would be most appropriate for the elementary students as oppose to adults, and teens. Having taught at the elementary level, I can readily envision these methodologies because I have performed them for various lessons over the course of the school year. First graders are primarily learning their native language, so introducing another language will not become an inexhaustible task. Presenting the calendar months in both English and Spanish, and likewise for the week days, numbers, and colors have often been hung on the walls. The use of Engage, Activate, and Study technique is analogous to the often used K-W-L charts. I have done this before so I know it works. Other techniques presented will take some getting used to. I need to see it first.Needless to say, Unit 3 provided many ideas to employ.
