There are several schools of thought on the issue of planning lessons (Unit 9): one consider this being teacher centred, others are of the opposite opinion, while teachers themselves are somewhere between :) 1. A plan serves a an aid, a working document, and a historical record. 2. A teacher should be organised and check the following: the availability of a plan, necessary materials and aids (which are to be laid out), whether equipment works and seats are arranged, a board clean; as well as a teacher is to be ready to talk to coming students, which will break the ice. 3. The following should be included into a LP: learner aims, personal aims, language point, teaching aids, aniticipated problems, procedures, phase (ASE), interaction (S-S, T-S), class level, date/ time, a teacher & an observer's names (if monitored). 4. Planning a seuence of lessons was also discussed (flexibility, goalsm revision, and balance must be considered)
