This lesson made me nervous but excited - to know that there are so many different teaching situations that I could be in! There are different requirements and ways of carrying yourself through each different class of students. For example, with young learners you must be goofy, energetic and patient with interruptions, while with business english, you are more likely to need to dress formally, you will more than likely not sing songs and chants and should ask the students instead what they need to learn from you and how they will need to use english for their job. I think teaching a monolingual class has the advantage of finding geographical or cultural points of interest that the class can agree on, while teaching a multilingual class may have a higher success rate of students being able to communicate fluently in English only faster. Whatever class you find yourself teaching in though, they all have advantages and disadvantages.
