Teach English in Dongtang XiAng [→ LimingguAn Shuǐzu XiAng] - Qiannan Buyizu Miaozu Zizhizhou
I forgot how confusing and complicated the English language is, especially its grammar. There are so many different grammar elements, from articles and adjectives to adverbs and prepositions. Each has its own rule, and there is no guarantee that the rule makes sense or that native speakers even had to learn the rule in the first place. To native speakers, so much of English grammar is just what \"sounds right,\" so it is important to understand the rules that go on in the background that we may not be conscious of. Even though I have learned all of this before, I forgot how intricate English grammar is, especially in the context of trying to explain it to someone else. I learned that there are somewhat clear rules for most elements of English grammar, but there are many irregular elements that need to be memorized. The charts of the regular and irregular of the past/present participle and base forms was very helpful for that reason.
