This unit was full of a lot of information regarding grammar, including review of articles such as a/an and the, verbs, and their different kinds, prepositions, conjunctions, etc. For me personally, being a native speaker of English, I was one of those who used grammatically correct English, but didn't know how to explain the grammatical structures of English or why I say what I say. In Japanese, I struggle with the meaning and difference of transitive and intransitive verbs, and when reading about it in English, I realize that I don't understand the meaning of transitive and intransitive verbs, rather I've just memorized them, I suppose. It's very interesting to see how it's all broken down, and you realize that as a native speaker, you've just been using these grammar points without thinking, simply because for most people, it's been memorized. I am curious if that's the key to learning any foreign language, to just memorize the grammar.
