This unit expressed the importance that when students are learning a new language they need to both understand it's meaning and structure, as well as the importance of being exposed to it and being able to produce and/or practice it. In addition to teaching me that students should be introduced to new language in a balanced and constructive manner, the unit also very much emphasised the application of the ESA teaching method and the corresponding activities to the variety of lessons I as a teacher would likely have to both plan and teach to my students. I will also note that from what I have learnt from previous units as well as this one is that the structure of ESA lessons can and sometimes should be changed from the norm to ensure varied lessons and to help prevent boredom/predictability setting in on the students end of things, as long as the structure also best serves the aim of teaching the learning objective of that particular lesson .
