Unit 4 begins with a brief overview of the 12 tenses in the English language (with a brief comparison to how many tenses other languages have). In the overview, we learn that there are three times in English: past, present, and future, and that each time has four aspects: simple, perfect, continuous, and perfect continuous. The rest of Unit 4 focuses specifically on the present tense and its four aspects: present simple, present perfect, present continuous, and present perfect continuous. In addition to breaking down sentences into parts of speech and providing examples, unit 4 also provides excellent lesson plan suggestions for teachers to use during the activate portion of their lessons. This unit was almost entirely new to me, and so I found the review questions at the end to be immensely helpful. In particular, task 6 helped to increase my confidence and allowed me to brain storm some ideas for class activities involving the present tense.
