Anyone with experience as a teacher or a student knows how important a role course materials play. Ideally there would be books out there that contain all the information, in an accessible form, and good progression that we want our students to learn. However course materials can vary greatly and the experienced educator knows how much of an impact creating supplemental material can be for their students. In the classroom Teachers can use authentic materials such as CDs or clips from movies or through our own creativity create original materials. Creating original materials allows one the opportunity to tailor the material specifically to their students and those students' needs. While authentic materials can be modern and give students confidence. When using course books teachers may choose to omit certain aspects, replace them with appropriate material, supplement according to the students needs, and adapt things to their goals and classroom.
