Unit 17 reviews, makes suggestions regarding, and examines the advantages and disadvantages of the following resources one may find in the classroom: a white/black board, an interactive whiteboard, an overhead projector, visual aids, worksheets and work cards, a cassette recorder, CD players, videos and DVDs, video cameras, dictionaries, course books, resource books, a photocopier, computers, and online resources. This unit will be most useful as a future resource after I have a sense of my students, my classroom, and what resources are available to me in the school, city, and country. I made note of a few interesting resources for dictionaries (ie. the World Wide Words website), TEFL grammar practice and communication games, and listening exercises (ie. the BBC podcasts of English language students). This will prove a very useful list, especially when searching for more creative materials (both authentic and created/tailored to TEFL students).
