Unit 19 is labeled as teaching Special Groups, but in actuality a more proper name for it could be Teaching Various Groups, as it covers the teaching methods of Children/Young Learners, Business English, and Multilingual and Monolingual classes. Through the lesson I've learned that with each group the lesson plan and teaching goal obviously varies depending on the learning goal of the students your teaching. For example, when teaching Children/Young Learners, your method of interaction will be greatly different than dealing with teaching business professionals English; with young learners you want to be more active, give out more attention to those seeking it, and having shorter activities to keep the interest up, while with teaching Business English you should be more professional, try to maximize the time you have with your students, and (if working one on one) try to tailor the lesson plan to what the student is most interested in/need to learn.
