The unit reflection is on teaching productive skills which in another words is speaking and writing which are substantially different in many ways but both are used for the same purpose of communication.This unit makes reference of writing being the most neglected skill in TEFL world and student sacrifice this writing skill for speaking. Accuracy and fluency are more concern in productive skills.while accuracy activities are concentrated on producing correct language,fluency activities are centered on experimenting and be creative with language.accuracy and fluency both carry equal importance and both are going to check on the other in the course of the lesson. What I picked from this lesson are the techniques of encouraging timid students to be fully engaged in speaking activities as most students are reluctant to speak in classroom.the techniques to encourage interaction and how to carry out a typical a creative speaking activity lesson using ESA.
