Reviewing the grammar involved in the present tenses was very useful, especially when it comes to determining when we use one tense or the other. I normally don't have to think about what tense to use for what I'm trying to communicate, but seeing the possible mistakes the students might make, it's an eye opener on how important it is to make sure they have clearly defined when the action happened, if it's finalised or still ongoing and if it has an impact in the present or even in the future. This is a basic communication skill, and I must direct students down this path. I found particularly useful to come up with ideas for the Activate phase on how to apply the grammar acquired. Another very interesting point was to correct possible mistakes and how I'd explain the mistake, as I had to come up with examples and imagine a way to guide a student through a time line of when the action took place and how that action is affecting the present of future.
