This unit seemed to highlight the human aspect of teaching. It discussed how to create rapport between the teacher and class, as well as how to create rapport within the group. Additionally, dealing with the different learning speeds and levels was an important consideration. It is my opinion that, in addition to all of the other factors and dynamics of teaching, the smaller less obvious things can actually effect or sabotage the teaching/learning experience. Instead of viewing typical issues that arise in a negative fashion, the teachers attitude, intuition, and diplomacy creates the real control and outcome over any situation. For example, while a larger class might be more work and more challenging, it also presents an exciting opportunity to truly use the aforementioned skills. The moral of this story is that teaching effectively must be a fluid and dynamic experience. The title of this unit was perfect! \"Troubleshooting.\" Attitude is everything.
