This unit had to do with lesson planning. Lesson plans must leave room for flexibility. It is incorrect to assume that every lesson will go according to plan, so be prepared for changes of pace. So, it is important to have a thorough knowledge of what you will be teaching so you can answer any questions directed at you. Do whatever works best for you to organize your thoughts. Come to class early and go over your lesson. Make sure all equipment is working and welcome your students as they come into the class. Your actual lesson should follow whichever ESA pattern you prefer, and have a theme (like a specific future tense, etc.). Keeping these things in mind you should be able to create effective lessons. However, it is important to hold yourself accountable for when things go poorly and to correct them in the future. Evaluating yourself after lessons is a great way to do this. This unit confirmed my thinking on how I would organize my lessons.
