Unit 4 - Present Tense Unit 4 covers with a solid structure the four present tenses: present simple, present continuous, present perfect, present perfect continuous. In this unit the Present Tense is elaborated in 4 areas: - Form: includes the grammatical construction and the fundamental rules of how the tense or grammar point is formed; it's detailed with examples the affirmative, negative and question form of the tense or grammar point; - Usages: with examples, it is explained how and under what circumstances the tense is used; - Typical students errors: a good examples of the common mistakes/errors that the students might do, a useful resource for the teacher to formulate correction strategies; - Activate stage teaching ideas: teaching by the ESA strategy, some examples are given on how to encourage communicative use of the tense during the activate stage.
