Unit two which deals with ?Parts of Speech? introduces us to grammar and the various grammar rulers that we need to know as teachers of English. It instructs us on the most frequently needed areas of grammar that we as future teachers would be teaching. It was so refreshing studying through this unit as I had the opportunity to test my skills in grammar and also learn about verbs and verb form and tenses (base form, past simple, past participle and present participle) and the rulers that apply to regular and irregular verbs. Also, I learned about auxiliary verbs etc. Furthermore, I learned a lot about nouns and the different types of nouns (common, compound, proper, abstract and collective). I also learned about the plural forms of nouns and both countable and uncountable nouns. Other parts of speech that I also learned about were adjectives (comparative and superlative adjectives), articles, adverbs gerunds, pronouns, prepositions and conjunctions.
