This unit was about conditionals and reported speech. I believe this unit will be very helpful to my teaching because it identified the types and meanings of conditional forms as zero, fist, second, third, and mixed. Having an understanding of the types of conditionals and their meanings will help me to better explain the types of conditionals and their differences to my students. Being able to present these conditionals in such an organized and consistent manner will help to prevent the confusion my students have previously had when I taught them before. It was also helpful to get a clearer understanding of reported speech: particularly the types of tense shifting that is needed for most reported speech. Even in my own writing, I was often inconsistent in my reported speech and lacked tense agreement in my sentences. Having this point clarified will help me in my own writing and speech, as well as my students' skills the next time I teach this grammar.
