The two examples of lessons were very contrasting and have shown how an attitude of the teacher affects the outcome for the students participating in the lesson. In the first example the teacher did not engage students, did not establish good rapport and were repeatedly saying that 'it is very easy' which placed the students in a uncomfortable position of fear of saying anything at all because it might have been incorrect. As a result, all students were rather confused, uninterested in active participation in the lesson and the STT was extremely low. That was a very ineffective lesson for the students. In the second example the teacher have shown a totally different attitude and used the ESA lesson structure which have proven to be a very engaging and well beneficial to all students. Thanks to well chosen exercises for the Engage, Study and Activate phases the students talk time was high and they were engaged and interested in full participation in the lesson.
