Practice is important in order to have good pronunciation. It is quite often that we underestimate pronunciation skills. One of the best way to practice is to repeat the words. Repetition should not be dull but to be incorporated into normal flow of the lesson. We can either get students repeat as a class or individually. Repeating as a class is also known as choral drilling. Ideally, choral drilling is preferable as it reduces the level of embarrassment in students. However, there are times we need to put individual drilling as an option. Teacher will be more easier to figure out the weaknesses of student. On the other hand, remedy lessons should be planned accordingly to analyse the sound of tricky words. Common pronunciation problems should be highlighted and problem words should be repeated for several times. The most crucial thing in teaching pronunciation and phonology is to make sure the students loosen up and ready to involve themselves in lesson all the time.
